Tiger Mom

Atau pun sebenarnya sebagai parents, secretly kita nak anak kita mencapai cita-cita kita yg terkubur, does it ring a bell to you? hahaha. Whatever the intention is, we all want the best for our children.

Well, saya idok le mahu menjadi tiger mom gituhh.

Instead of just giving Yaya a good bye kiss masa hantar dia tadi, saya bercakap juga dengan cikgunya hari ni. Saya tanya dia where can I get the lesson syllabus. Cikgu dia pulak tanya balik "lesson what?". Saya ulang balik soalan dan hati saya kata "biar betol cikgu ni?" Dan cikgu tetap jawab "lesson what?" sambil  buat muka pelik. Nasib baik ada penolong head teacher dkt situ, so dia kata sambil jeling dkt cikgu tu " you might get it next week". Lepas kata thanks, saya blah la kan.

Lepas tu saya mcm terpikir, adakah kerana takde parents pernah tanya syllabus dkt sekolah tu especially syllabus utk reception stage, i don't want to comment about the school performance, ehem *geleng geleng kepala*.  Dan saya terus terpikir "alamak, mesti cikgu tu pikir diriku adalah tiger mom". Concern sgt pasal apa anak belajar. Saya cuma concern anak saya terkejut bila balik Malaysia, sebab sekolah kat sini tak ajar alphabets pun lagi. Maklumlah, dkt kindy Malaysia dengar kata budak2 umur 6tahun dah boleh baca ok, padahal Yaya akan masuk kindy januari ni sebab tahun depan dia dah 6 tahun, aiyakkk!

Lepas tu balik rumah, terus carik quiz "what type of mom are you?". Jumpa dkt website Oprah. And my answers are

2 As
2 Bs
2 Cs
1 Ds

If you chose mostly As:
The Funseeker Mom:
Funseeker Mom is always ready for action with a cooler full of snacks, ice-cold juice boxes and a go-to attitude. She makes the best of any situation, whether it's a long carpool line or bad year in algebra. And, she never lets the fear of no available parking stop her from heading to the beach or the park with a carful of kids. She's glass-half-full all the time.

If you chose mostly Bs:
The Alpha Mom:
Watch out, kids, because here comes the Alpha Mom! She is plugged in and all business, even when it comes to solving personal issues—her kids are always on time and have the cleanest clothes on the block. She uses her vast contacts and tech knowledge to simplify the complex in her life. Alpha Mom is armed with a BlackBerry, and she is going to make it happen. Whatever "it" is—a school fundraiser, a playdate, a corporate merger. Alpha Mom is always on top of it.

If you chose mostly Cs:
The Helicopter Mom:
Helicopter Mom is hovering just out sight, keeping an eye on her kids and yours. She is fully supplied with a first aid kit, a GPS and a complete computer printout of the week's homework for all her kids. She could teach a master class in calendar-keeping, managing the family schedule like an orchestra conductor. Don't forget to refuel, Helicopter Mom!

If you chose mostly Ds:
The Free-Range Mom:
Pull up a chair and have a cup of chai with Free-Range Mom, because she is always the one with a little extra time. Instead of chauffeuring the kids all over town, she bought them bus passes. Instead of overscheduling, she underschedules and enjoys the moment. Yes, she believes in safety measures, but not in a security detail every time her children leave the house. In the Free-Range Mom's world, the kids are all right.

Well, I guess I am Alpha Funseeker Helicopter Mom, huh!
Dah, tak payah buat muka disgusted, korang pun suka buat quiz yg taktentu betol nya ni kan, admit je la selalu bukak magazine Remaja, Cleo utk buat quiz, kehkehkeh.
Tapi pelik kan, tadi saya cerita pasal sekolah Yaya tetiba pasal diri sendiri pulak.
Wakakaka!
Eh, sukati la kan, hehehhee.
