Tempoyak Goreng

I bought a durian during last Ramadhan at Wing Yip. And it was not edible and for that reason, so made them as tempoyak. My mom said tempoyak is not good when you're fasting, katanya angin. So today, I'm making tempoyak goreng.  Since I'm on my mission to cut the calorie intake, a scoop of rice is more than enough. Not like when I was in my holiday in Malaysia, I ate rice like I never eat it just because my MIL made tempoyak goreng.

To cut the carbs but at the same time need to make sure that I feel full, I ate lots of lady's finger or here known as okra. The okras were all mine, puas hati patik! I don't think that my siblings have ever eat this because we're not used to have tempoyak like this. Normally we have tempoyak with sambal belacan.

 For Sarawakian, they add ikan bilis or better known as pusuk, to go with tempoyak and sambal belacan. Tempoyak goreng is another recipe that I learnt from my MIL. So, this is recipe for tempoyak goreng.

Ingredients:
3-4 shallots (pounded)
1 garlic (pounded)
2-3 tablespoons of blended cili kering (depend on how hot you want it to be)
2-3 tablespoons of tempoyak.
2 table spoons of vegetable oil
ikan bilis/prawns
salt

Method:
1. Heat the pan with oil.
2. Add the pounded shallots and garlic. Fry till it's fragrant.
3. Add the blended cili kering, make sure pecah minyak then add the ikan bilis or prawns.
4.  Leave it for 2-3 minutes or the prawns cooked.
5. Add the tempoyak. Stir well.  Done. 

Ehem ehem, ada ikan patin dalam esbok, apa lagi ikan patin masak tempoyak la pas ni!!! Hehehehe.

Nyaman tempoyak goreng hoh. Kamek tok jenis nok sik makan durian. Tapi bila mak molah tempoyak goreng, tauk licin dikerja kamek huhuhu...

Faizal : Pelik oo, ramei urg kedak ktk aie, sik makan durian gilak, tapi cuba polah tempoyak goreng.. nang licin, nyaman aieee!!!

Aliaa: kalau nasib baik, jumpa la yg fresh.. kalau tak fresh, kamu buat la tempoyak ye.. cer masok dalam lasagna, sedap tak? hehehe
