T-Bag and me take turn to babysit Mrkamahkamah on Monday and Wednesday. Mrkamahkamah goes to nursery only on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Monday, I met my boss and today is T-Bag's turn to do his research works.
We begin our day with my latest obsession, coconut jam @ seri kaya. If it's only coconut jam, it will be boring!
Toast it, spread the lurpak butter and then the jam, yummy to the max. You won't stop at 2 slices of bread. You want more!!!Trust me!
When we were still in Kuching, we always love to go to De wanie, Jalan Astana or sometimes at Kaya and Toast for their Roti Kawin. Sometimes people called it Roti Kapit. Pemalas nak mamp kan, nak makan toast pun kena makan kat kedai, dkt oversea pandai la pulak sapu sendiri, hahahahha.
After breakfast, it was hairdressing time. Yes, the victim was Mrkamahkamah. Nasib baik budak tu pandai duduk diam. Sekejap aje potongnya, dah siap.
Mrkamahkamah had a long afternoon nap, from 1.15pm till 3.30pm. When he woke up, he helped me to make chocolate chip cookies. My first intention was to try the famous amos recipe but I don't have enough ingredients. So, I chose another recipe, the easy peasy one. All the mixing was done by Mrkamahkamah and I forgot to snap even a picture while he mixing the ingredients, erghh!!! You can find the original recipe here. Here is my version. I don't have light brown soft sugar, so I added another 50g granulated sugar and another 30g butter. White chocolate is really not my thing, so I used dark chocolate chip instead.
Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies
80g softened butter
100g granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
125g plain flour
1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp salt
100g plain chocolate cut into large chunks
100g dark chocolate chips
Cream butter until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients except chocolate, and mix. Add chocolate and mix in well. At this point it will look like a bowl full of chocolate chunks, with the tiniest amount of dough holding it all together.
Place large dollops well spaced on a greased baking tray and bake (180C/350F) for around 10 minutes. They should just start to be turning brown when they come out. Don't overcook - they are supposed to be soft in the centre.
Leave on baking tray for ten minutes to rest and then transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool.
Ready to bake.

The cookies taste like Subway's cookies. Yummy yummy! Rasanya, I'll use this recipe over and over again kot, sebab senang. Next time, nak buat comey-comey macam famous amos, heheheh!
