Hash + Egg and Curry Mee

I love potatoes sooooo muchhh!!!  Potatoes are good for women who want to enlarge one of the assets, you know what I mean, provided that you're still a teenager, apa ke jadahnye kalau dah 40years old kannnnn. Been eyeing this recipe since last week. So, today after 20minutes of berlari setempat, I managed to drag my lazy butt to my second "office" and prepare our brunch.  Took the recipe from here. I made some twists to the recipe, to suit my tekak belacan. I'm no Tabasco fan, I used green chilli and hot chilli powder instead. There is no halal corned beef sold at the nearby shop, kalau ada pun maybe dkt Easton, so I just I used minced chicken. If you want the original recipe, please visit the website.

Ingredients:

2 medium potatoes, unpeeled and cut into wedges
1 tbsp oil
1 medium onion, peeled and finely sliced
2 garlics, peeled and finely sliced
 A cup of minced chicken
1 medium green chillies, chopped small
2 medium eggs
Salt and black pepper powder
Hot chilli powder

Method
1. Cook the potato wedges in boiling water for 12-15 mins, until just tender. Drain well, then leave to steam-dry.
2. Heat the oil in a medium frying pan, add the onion, green chillies, and garlics. Fry for 5 mins, until golden.
3. Add the minced chicken. Cook until it brown.
4. Cut the potatoes into smaller chunks, add to the pan, without stirring too much, until crispy on the edges and underneath.
5. Add hot chilli and black pepper powder. Stir in for a couple of minutes.
6. Make two dips in the hash and crack an egg into each one. Put a lid on the pan and cook until the egg is just set. Serve.

T-Bag likes it, so buleh buat lagi next time. It's a heavy brunch I must say, but it's good to have a full stomach before we begin our weekly groceries shopping. Tak baik shopping masa perut kosong, lagi banyak yang dishopping nanti.

Since I already bought prawns, I thought having mee curry for dinner would be awesome. I really didn't appreciate curry mee when I was small. Tapi dah besar ni, suka la pulak, makin banyak lemak, makin sedap. But then again, please go easy on the santan or else, bahaya oi! I got recipe from my friend, Kak Zaina. She made curry mee for her recently Raya Open House. Oleh kerana daku jauh, kena la buat sendiri kannn. This is my version, version tak cukup modal! But the taste was superb!! Boleh buat lagi lain kali and next time make sure to have tauhu, pak choi and fish cake.

Ingredients
Minyak masak
Bawang merah - ditumbuk halus
Bawang putih - ditumbuk halus
Serbuk kari Adabi- bancuh dengan sedikit air, jadikan pes
1 sudu besar cili blender
Daun kari
3 biji buah pelaga
1 biji bunga lawang

Sebiji kelapa, ambillah santannya dan perahan kedua. (Saya guna santan Maggi dalam kotak, senang baitu)
600 gm udang basah (kopek kulitnya dan bersihkan, kulit tu diblender, ambil airnya which saya tak buat, because I bought peeled prawns)
1 kilo kerang (I substitute with udang kering)
3 biji kentang - potong kecil-kecil
Tauhu kering
1 bungkus fish ball (I used prawn balls, lagi yummeh!!! )
2 keping fish cake (potong sedang-sedang)
Garam secukup rasa
Pak choi
1 bungkus Mee kuning (dicelur)
Telur (ikut suka banyak mana, direbus dan dipotong ikut suka)
Daun sup/daun bawang (dipotong halus-halus)
Cili merah (dimayang halus)
Bawang goreng

Method
1. Tumis bawang merah & putih sehingga naik bau.
2. Masukkan pes kari, cili blender, daun kari, buah pelaga dan bunga lawang. Tumis hingga bau wangi,
3. Masukkan santan cair & kentang. Biarkan sekejap.
4. Kemudian masukkan juga udang basah, udang kering, fish ball, fish cake, air blender kulit udang dan biarkan dengan api yg sederhana.
5.Setelah kentang empuk, masukkan garam, santan pekat dan tauhu kering serta pakchoi. Kacau sehingga
mendidih. Matikan api.
6. Masukkan mee dalam mangkuk cantek, letak kuah nya, letak la telur, bawang goreng, daun sup dan cili merah. Siap.

If you notice, I didn't put taugeh in my curry mee. Sebab apa? Sebab malas nak buang ekor taugeh. Alasan baik punya. We both ate two bowls of curry mee, erk!!! Sebenornye dalam hatiku, nak lagi dan lagi, hehehe.
