American Chocolate Cake

I feel really famished today. I did take my sahur, a banana with a few cups of plain water. But I don't know why I'm so hungry and  I really feel like eating spaghetti, soto + begedil and chocolate cake.  Kalau buat spaghetti or soto masa Ramadhan ni macam kesian pulak dgn T_Bag. Sebab dia tak berapa minat. I planned to bake a cake this weekend with Rozie since she will spend end summer bank holiday with us. Tapi, sebab tak boleh tahan punya pasal, I started to bake a chocolate cake at 5pm. My first time baking using this oven, takut juge tak jadik.

How about that? Yummehh!!!
This is only half batter, tak sampai 35minutes, cake sudah keluar oven. Last time I baked the same cake, I didn't put the recipe here. Petang tadi terpaksa godek2 this blog baru jumpe. Rupanya ambek dkt blog Ijan Blogresipi and Ijan took it from Kak Ummi Kuantan's blog. So, Ijan and Kak Ummi, I Ctrl-C and Ctrl P the recipe here for my later reference.

Ingredients
2 cups flour*
3/4 cups cocoa*
2 tsp baking powder*
2 tsp baking soda*
2 cups granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 cup of milk (fresh)
1 cup of corn oil
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp Nescafe, added to 1 cup of hot water

1. Sift ingredients * together.
2. Beat all ingredients except ingredient *, fresh milk and hot nescafe.(1 1/2 minutes of beating is enough)
3. Combine ingredients * , hot nescafe and fresh milk. Mix with wooden spoon.
4. Bake at preheat oven 170/gas no 3,  for 45 minutes.

Resipi Ganache/Topping

1 can of condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup of corn oil
1/3 cup of  cocoa powder
salt

1. Combine condensed milk, corn oil and cocoa powder
2. Cook using medium heat and mix using whisker.
3. Add in salt and vanilla essence.
4. When it's thicken and shiny (10 minutes will do), turn off the heat and let it cold.Spread it on top of the cake.

This is the easiest cake ever and recipe ni patutnya jadik recipe ke-3 lepas boiled water and sunny side up egg dalam buku "Dummies: In the Kitchen".  Cubalah korang buat, sementara aku makan kek ni, oh sedap!!!
