Oat=Constipation?

The oatmeal is well known for its goodness: lower the cholesterol level and reduce high blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes, reduce the risk for certain cancers and the most important thing is that the oatmeal can help you control your weigh by making you feel full longer. My aim is to become more healthier this year. So I bought the oatmeal because it's on promotion: 2 boxes for the price of GBP2. 



For the past 6 days, I had an oat porridge and a cup of tea for breakfast. At first, I feel like "yikes" because I really don't like oat. It take great pains to finish one bowl of oat porridge, but I did! After few days, the oat porridge become something that I was looking forward every morning. At the same times, I cut my carbs intake, sometimes none for dinner/lunch and sometimes up to five teaspoons of rice.  Since I had the oatmeal, I didn't do my morning business and I wondered why.  I'm worried I'll be constipated after few days not doing my morning business, so today I switched to 2 slices of 50/50 (white+wholemeal) bread and a cup of double choco mocha. Finally, I did go to the toilet to do my business. Yay!


So, is it true? Oat=constipation?
Oh, I don't want to have another series of constipation just like during my first pregnancy.
Fuhh, boleh migraine ooo!!!

hahaha, susie has a very good conclusion. but hey, tea causes stool to harden. though i doubt one cup is enough to do that.

try the oatmeal with some bananas or oranges.... low the risk of constipation as well as the oat taste better...
